Regularity counts - try for every week
If spending quiet time is relatively new for you, try adding it into your schedule a couple of times a week in the beginning. But, BE PREPARED! You are starting a new path, so something else will have to go--this is just part of building in time for you. You are putting yourself FIRST in your life. So, as you focus on you, remember to value yourself and give yourself the affirmation that you need and deserve this time to yourself. I'd recommend saying to yourself, "I'm valuable. My quiet time is important."
Whenever we begin a new path, being affirmative helps to reinforce the change we want to make. You're going to have to say NO more often and at first, this will likely be difficult. Be gentle with yourself as you work hard to make regular quiet time into your life.
A couple of times every week is your goal. Sometimes you will make it, sometimes you won't. Just be gentle and determined to reach your goal on a regular basis.
